It can be done!

I love the fact that at Pacific each student gets personal attention. In the Communication Department, I have had maybe two classes with more than twenty students enrolled. This makes for more class discussions and a more personal experience with the professor. I am not a number, rather a name and a face. It is this personal attention that plays a role in my doing so well at this institution.

I was a transfer student. Before I came to Pacific, I attended a local junior college. At this college I was only a number, and my grades showed it. Not to say that I was doing poorly, however, I was not doing as well as I am at Pacific. Not to mention, that I am actually learning and remembering the material I have learned here.

One thing is for sure—never assume that a class is an easy “A.” Being Jewish, I decided to take a Judaism class last semester. I figured, “I know this stuff, I will get an ‘A’ for sure.” Well, I did get my “A” but I had to work for it. It was not the walk in the park that I assumed that it would be. I have learned that with a little hard work and studying, every class is an easy “A.” I have also learned that is feels really good to say that you are on the Dean’s Honor Roll list at Pacific. My goal is to get a 4.0 both semesters next year. It can be done, trust me!

Sometimes you have to have fun.
